Hello, I'm Sally and I'm passionate about what I do!


I'm an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I have many approaches to help you with your difficulties, enabling you to let go of unhelpful beliefs and feel more energised and empowered in your life and relationships.


I draw on over 20 years of experience, trainings, research and personal therapy, so I can use the most effective approaches totally based on your needs, in a way that will help you move forward in your life!

Working with a range of modalities, the genuine changes I can help you make are (to name a few):

OPEN-ENDED & SHORT-TERM THERAPY

In our first session we can discuss what your aims, goals and individual requirements are. We can then work out whether you would want to do a short focused piece of work (approx 6-12 sessions), or if you would like longer term work in order to address long-standing and (often) childhood issues. 


I always encourage us to have regular reviews to assess the progress you have made, and what feels to be the next step forward for you.


With plenty of experience in both longer and short-term therapy, I can help you work out what feels right for you.

SUPERVISION - ENHANCING YOUR THERAPY WORK

Having been a trainer and supervisor for over 20 years, I am able to offer both to therapists, counsellors, students, nurses, and G.P's. It's been enjoyable and satisfying seeing the people I have worked with develop their practice and facilitate growth and change with their clients.

I also have a good background in qualified clinical experience in mental health placements, including Social Services, Military and NHS settings, plus developing a lively private practice. I can support you to develop your ability and skills authentically and effectively, whether you work for an organisation or in private practice.

Covid-19 & Online Therapy

With the current situation, I've been focusing on good ways of doing psychotherapy and EMDR remotely.

For EMDR and trauma therapy sessions, sitting in front of a laptop where we can both see each other very easily is definitely best. The advantage is, that you are able to do this work  from any room in your house, that you feel safe and comfortable in. As there is no travel involved, many people have found this advantageous, as they can fit the sessions into their life more easily.


I have found online EMDR to be more effective in many ways. I use online 'platforms' that are especially tailored for EMDR to help us get the best results and outcomes. I also use Zoom, WhatsApp and FaceTime, and these have all been really successful for many of my clients. I have a good few years experience of working online, and find it in many ways as good, if not better, than 'in-person' therapy. 


I ask my clients to wear earphones, and this, plus seeing each other on-screen, provides an empathic and intimate environment in which to work. This in turn enables us to work with the issues you really want to change.


The great advantage to working online is that I'm able to work with people all over the country as well as internationally! Distance now is no object!
